Insurance Frustration

According to my insurance company, I need six months of documentation that I've been on physician supervised diet. I have been for five months out of the last two years. I want my doctors to provide information to that effect. However, my previous doctor quit the practice, and my current doctor wants to start the clock from now.

I had to silverback them, so it looks like I'll have four months worth out of them. That will leave 2 more months of "physician supervised diet documentation". Not that the last 15 years of trying to diet counts or anything.

So, I'm looking at June at the earliest for the surgery at this point, IF everything else goes smoothly. And that is one mighty huge...
